Pelegrin Fernandez-Serrano, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Antonio Fernandez and Saturnina Serrano. Pelegrin was the husband of Tomas Blanco Chavarria-Fernandez of Honduras.

Pelegrin honorably served his country with the US Army from 1956-1957. He was a self-employed mechanic who performed meticulous, extensive engine rebuilding. He loved music, playing guitar and writing songs. He studied his Bible and served as a Chaplain at Lancaster General Hospital.

Along with his wife, Pelegrin is survived by three children: Angel Antonio Fernandez and Mayra Yolanda Fernandez, both of Florida, and Angel L. Fernandez of Lancaster; a brother, Johnny Fernandez of Rhode Island; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, where a viewing will begin starting at 10 AM. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
