Peggy Y. Newcomer, 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Abbeyville Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Violet (Wallace) and Charles F. Fillmore. She was previously married to Clyde F. Newcomer.

Peggy was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, always greeting others with a smile. She had a passion for cooking and was famous for her family dinners that brought loved ones together. She enjoyed playing cards, poker, and Pokeno, and she held a lifelong admiration for Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her children: Donna Newcomer of Lancaster, Susan Newcomer of New Providence, Gregory Allen Newcomer, Sr., husband of Sherry Lynn, of Millersville, Steve M. Newcomer, husband of Tara, of Willow Street, James E. Newcomer, Clyde F. Newcomer, Jr. husband of Ellen, of Millersville, and Melissa Morales, wife of Adrian, of Lancaster. She is also survived by her companion, William Scheller of Millersville; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings: Connie Fillmore, Rick Fillmore, and Charles "Junior" Fillmore, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a devoted pet lover and will be missed by her beloved cats, Tommy and Sassy.

Peggy's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, cherished for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
