Pauline M. (Zander) Risser, 93, of Pleasant View Retirement Community, formerly of Clay Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6th, 2018. She was born in Manheim Township and was the daughter of the late Elam E. and Mable M. (Steinman) Zander. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Risser in 1993. Pauline was a 1942 graduate of Lititz High School. After high school she entered into the US Navy serving in WWII with her brothers. She was a Pharmacist 3rd Mate. She retired from Wilbur Chocolate Factory after many enjoyable years hand making chocolate. Pauline was an 80 year member of Coleman Memorial Chapel in Brickerville. She was an Elder of the Church. Pauline served as President of the Farm Women Society #3 and the Brickerville Leisure Hours Club. She was also a member of Brickerville Fire Company Auxillary. She is survived by five children, Sandra Risser Davis, wife of Jerry, of Lititz, Ruth Ann Haak, wife of Barry, of Palmyra, Robert M. Risser, husband of Pam, of Mahaffey, Daniel Z. Risser, husband of Robin, of Stevens, Dean Risser,, husband of Barbara, of Ephrata, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren and a sister, Zelma Zander Shelly, of Brickerville. She was preceded in death by brothers Harold S. and Roy L. Zander. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at 11AM at Pleasant View Retirement Community Hoffer Auditorium 544 N. Penryn Rd. Manheim, PA 17545. A viewing will be held one hour prior, from 10AM-11AM. Interment will be held in Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. with Military Honors.
