Pauline Hendrix Bartch, 100 years old, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late William H. Bartch, who passed away in 1989. Born in Mount Joy and living there for years before moving to Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Clayton A. and Emma Zink Hendrix. Pauline had worked at the former Olmstead Air Force Base in Middletown, PA, where she was employed for 12 years as a parts packer until her retirement in 1963. She was a die-hard Phillies fan and had enjoyed playing bingo in the past with her friends. Pauline celebrated her 100th birthday last October with a party attended by friends and family. Pauline was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Joy. She is survived by her grandchildren: Paula married to John M. West of Lancaster, Sherry married to Alan J. Sommerville of Halifax, and Barry L. Horner of Lancaster; her great grandchildren James A. Sommerville, Jason M. West and Tamara L. West. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Edna Marie Horner and her grandson, Fred Wm. Horner. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at 2PM at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Rd., Willow Street, PA 17584.
