Paul E. Tangert, 79, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Esther M. (Fisher) and Harry A. Tangert Sr.

Paul was a devoted and beloved husband of the late Doris (Hahn) Tangert, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. He was also the loving father to their daughter Paula, wife of Chad Rupert.

Prior to retiring, Paul was employed by C&D Technologies, Inc. Paul was an avid golfer, traveling to different courses with his friends but spent many days on the local courses while his girls enjoyed swimming at the club pool. He also liked cookouts with his family, fishing, wood whittling and going to Rehoboth Beach. He enjoyed spoiling his two grand-dogs Roxy and Kessa. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his siblings: John of Salunga and Luann Irwin (Dennis) of Strasburg. He was preceded in death by his brothers Harry, Howard (Skip), Barry and Sister Suzanne Edgell.

Friends will be received by Paul's family on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Charles F Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E.
