Sonny Groff, 66, of Mountville, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at LGH surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Paul W. Groff, Sr. and Katherine Groff. He was a companion of and married to Debra A. (Graybill) Groff for over 27 years.

Sonny was a Lampeter-Strasburg High School graduate and served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He had worked as an auto body technician at Faulkner Oldsmobile in Lancaster for 30 years. Sonny enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends and family, and was an avid sports and Seinfeld enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer L. Groff and Jodi M. Groff, both of Lancaster. Also surviving are two brothers, Theodore M. Groff, husband of June, of Lancaster, Timothy A. Groff, husband of Jill, of Willow St, PA; 4 nieces, 3 nephews and a sister-in-law, Georgia K. Groff, of Landisville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Allen L. Groff.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30PM on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Pastor Bruce Lefever officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30PM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sonny's memory to the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, 2102 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 or the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
