Paul H. Rossi, 80, of Lancaster, died at Lancaster General Hospital on Monday, June 28, 2010. He was married to Marian H. Bilyk Rossi for 54 years on April 28 th . Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Peter and Ida Innorta Rossi.
Paul served in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from St. John University and his MBA in 1974 from The College of Insurance in downtown Manhattan. Paul was a corporate executive for Home Insurance Company in Manhattan for 22 years.
A member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, he served as a Lector and on the Building and Grounds Committee. Paul was a 3 rd Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council #6810, also a past Grand Knight, and current Advocate of Council and Captain of the First Degree Team. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Santa Maria Assembly, #0915.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marian are three children, Patricia Lee, wife of Tim Hall and their daughter Dana Leigh Hall all of Lancaster, Paul Michael, husband of Denise Rossi and father of their children Michael and Christopher Rossi all of Lancaster and Peter Alan, husband of Janine Rossi and their son Joseph Peter Rossi all of Long Island. His sister Lee Mingoia preceded Paul in death.
Viewings will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM, with The Vigil Service and Recitation of The Holy Rosary at 8 PM, all at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA, with The Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant.
