Paul F. McGarvey, 92, of East Petersburg passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Pleasant View Retirement Community.

Born in Colerain, PA he was the son of the late William F. and Florence Mae (Gregg) McGarvey. He was the loving husband of Ethel (Clark) McGarvey, with whom he shared 71 years of marriage.

Paul worked as a Foreman at Lancaster Malleable Company for over 40 years.

In his free time he enjoyed fishing, reading, doing word search puzzles, and watching the Phillies and Flyers. He was an avid bowler, having played on many different leagues. He continued to bowl until he was 87 years old. He also liked to take family vacations to Delaware, Colton Point, PA, and Ocean City, Maryland where he rode bikes up and down the boardwalk.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Patsy Hinkle of East Petersburg, and his granddaughter Lori Few, fiance of Jamie Bush of Mountville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA 17543, with Pastor Mark Thiboldeaux officiating. A viewing will be held from 1:30pm-2:30pm. Burial will be in Trinity Reformed UCC Cemetery.
