Obituary

Paul J. Bischoffberger, 74, of Bird-In-Hand, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Paul was the son of the late Paul G. and Elisaura Bischoffberger. He previously lived in Florida, Baltimore, MD, and Brentwood, NY.

He served in the U.S. navy during the Vietnam War with Patron Eleven NAS, in Brunswick, ME. Paul then served in the Florida Army National Guard as a light vehicle mechanic obtaining the rank of Sergeant.

As a civilian, Paul worked as a mechanic for 20 years, he drove trucks and buses for 34 years, including buses for Red Rose Transit Authority in Lancaster. Later in life he was known as the Amish Uber driver. At the age of fifty, The Lord led Paul to Bible College, and he became Associate Pastor of Great Grace Church in Manchester, York County.

By God's grace, Paul survived three bouts of cancer during his life.

Paul was an eagle and bird of prey enthusiast and loved to travel. He was the "go to guy" anytime, for anyone who needed anything.

Paul's surviving family include his daughters, Gia Lynn Vaughn (John) and Alaina Bischoffberger; four grandchildren, Christopher Vaughn (Mariah), Robert Vaughn, Shianne Dumeng (Eric), and Alyssa Quinones (Ricardo); four great-grandchildren, Abel Vaughn, Miguel Dumeng, Liam Vaughn, an Hazel Vaughn; his brother Philip Bischoffberger (Karen), his sister Carol Bujaky (Howard); nieces and nephews, Jason Bischoffberger, Ryan Bischoffberger, Erin White (Casey), Megan Jones (Steve), and five stepchildren. And his dear close friend, Joanne Keough of Lancaster, PA.

Future inurnment will take place in South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
