Paul S. Augustine, 87, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Mifflin Center in Reading, PA. He was the loving husband of Dolores K. (Payich) Augustine whom he married July 2, 1955. Born in McAdoo, PA he was a son of the late Andrew and Catherine J. (Plis) Augustine. Paul was a graduate of McAdoo High School and also graduated from Penn State University with his bachelor's degree in Engineering. He worked for RCA and AMP Inc. for over 30 years as an engineer prior to his retirement in 1995. Paul was a supporter of St. Anne's Catholic School, Lancaster Catholic girls' basketball and the marching band. He was a handyman around the house and enjoyed scouting with his son Gary in his younger years and doing charity work. Paul was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #6810 where he was a 3rd degree knight, and the Serra Club. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. In addition to his wife Dolores, he is survived by his children Gary P. Augustine husband of Jane of Whitehall, PA and Michelle A. wife of Meme Filippini of Shillington, PA; four grandchildren Erika wife of Seth Grant, Jessica Augustine, Morgan McMahon and Ryan McMahon. Paul was preceded in death by two sons Michael and David Augustine; one sister Ann Kaminsky and one brother John Augustine. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11AM from St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd. Lancaster, PA 17601 with Fr. Daniel Powell as Celebrant. Interment will be held at the convenience of his family in McAdoo, PA. A visitation will be held from 9AM until the time of his funeral mass at 11AM at the Church.
