Patricia E. Scarborough, 87, passed away at St. Anne's Retirement Community, Sunday, July 10, 2016. Born in Lancaster, Pat was the daughter of the late August G. and Ida (Fritsch) Kirchner. She was the devoted wife and caregiver, especially in the later years, of Harry J. Scarborough who died in 2004.

Pat was a 1947 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and worked as a clerk at the former St. Joseph Hospital, Lancaster. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

As the wife of a Navy man, she moved extensively during her husband's career, but made each place truly home. She also belonged to the Navy Wives Club. More than anything else, Pat loved spending time with her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her two children: James T. Scarborough, of Austin, TX and Kathryn M. Tyler, wife of Michael, of Elizabethtown. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Thomas Michael Tyler, of Santa Maria, CA and Patricia Rose Tyler, of Elizabethtown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel, as Celebrant. A viewing will be held at the church from 10-11AM. Following Mass, Pat will be laid to rest beside her loving husband at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman.
