Patricia R.(Miller) Roland, 91, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Brethren Village due to natural causes. She was the wife of Donald H. Roland, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage this past January 1st. Born in Nickel Mines, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russel and Hazel Eckman Miller. Pat was an accomplished homemaker who always put her family first. A very caring person mother who, in her spare time, in later years, worked part-time at Watt & Shand, JC Penney, Rea and Derrick, and Arrow Shoe Store. She enjoyed oil painting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Donna P. McGinnis of Venice, FL, her twin sons both of Lancaster: Dennis ( Peggy ) Roland and Douglas (Joanne) Roland; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The oldest of 8 siblings, she is survived by her brother Paul (Dorothy) Miller of Lititz, and her sisters Mid (David) Gockley of Lancaster and Rose Marie Heckel of Elm, and was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Richard, Alivin and James. Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 10:30-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Christian Prayer Service to follow at 11AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
