Obituary

Patricia A. (Grimm) Oatman, 77, of Lancaster, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of Edgar C. "Ed" Oatman of Lancaster, and the daughter of the late John and Esther (Rishel) Grimm.

Pat graduated from McCaskey High School in 1953.  After 35 years at RCA/Phillips she retired in 1997.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She would always take time to listen and help others.  She loved the beach, especially summertime trips with her family to Wildwood, NJ.  She enjoyed cheering for McCaskey sports and was an avid Duke Basketball fan.

She was a lifelong active member of First Reformed Church in Lancaster.

In addition to her husband of almost 58 years, she is survived by two sons:   Jeffrey Oatman and his wife Suzanne of Lancaster and Scott Oatman and his wife Shelley of Ocean City, MD; three grandchildren:  Ryan, Caitlyn, and Alex Oatman; a sister, Sandra Styer of Lancaster, and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a brother, John Grimm.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr.  Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with Pastor William P. Worley officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Lancaster. Please omit flowers.  Memorial contributions in Patricia's memory may be made to First Reformed Church, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA  17602.
