Parke H. Ranck, 83, of Paradise Township, died peacefully at home and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 19, 2018.

He was the husband of Emma (Hostetter) Ranck, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage in March.

Parke was a dedicated dairy farmer for over 36 years; after which, he hauled cattle and operated an Amish taxi service. He enjoyed years of maintaining the Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery and serving as church custodian.

He was a faithful member of Strasburg Mennonite Church, where he served as trustee. He enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, gardening, fishing and playing Rook. Parke was devoted to his family.

Born in Paradise Township, he was the son of the late Harry H, Sr. and Anna (Harnish) Ranck. Parke is also survived by his children, Patricia married to Raleigh Rhodes, Peggy married to Michael Nolt; Parke, Jr. married to Sheila (Nolt), Pamela married to Leslie Nolt and Petrina married to Paul Westfall; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and his sibling, Ethel Miller of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a sister Helen (Ranck) Lehman, and a brother Harry H. Ranck, Jr.

The Funeral Service is at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Strasburg Mennonite Church with Pastor John D. Meck officiating. The family will greet friends from 9:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
