Obituary

Parke C. Campbell, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on May 14, 2006.

Born in Conestoga, he was the son of the late Chester and Bessie Mae Sterneman Campbell.

During WWII, Mr. Campbell served in the Army Air Force as a top tier gunner on a B17.  He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with six oak leaf clusters.

He was a member of the Millersville VFW, American Legion, and Riverside Club.

He is survived by five sons, Larry Campbell of Lancaster; Bruce husband of Mary Campbell of Conestoga; Keith Campbell of California; Rodney Campbell of Lancaster; and Chris husband of Laurie Campbell of Lebanon; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 4 sisters.  Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Thursday at 9AM.  Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 8-9AM.
