Osbie "Gene" J. Bellamy, 79, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Born in Myrtle Beach, SC he was the son of the late Eva Mae (Williams) and Amos Bellamy.

Osbie was a member of Bright Side Baptist Church. Prior to retirement he was employed as a butcher. He enjoyed talking to his buddies, scrapping and taking rides to the park to spot deer with his companion, Ruby. Osbie loved his family and would do anything for them.

Osbie leaves behind his companion Ruby McKinney, his daughter Amanda Bellamy, Pop-Pop to his grandchildren Craig D. Vereen husband of Susan of Lebanon, Nia, Bayanna and Alanah; his great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Xena, Mathias, Vivica, Symiah, Saijah, Keira, Langston, Alexis, Linnea, Amora, Raekwan and Louisa; his great-great grandchild Zoey; his siblings: Nelson, Feenie Leah, Eva Lois, Leona Mays and sister in law Mary Bellamy as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Osbie was preceded in death by his wife Jane D. (Arnold) Bellamy; his daughter Kathy J. Vereen, grandchild Alexis Vereen; siblings: Walt Pete, Jobie Lea, Eniox, Isreal, and Margrah, .

Home Going services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Church.
