Omar Vega, 22, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 11, 2016 in his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Angel Luis Vega of York and Rosa (Montanez) and Jose Ramon Hernandez of Lancaster. Omar is also survived by his sister, Alisha Vega of Lancaster; maternal grandparents Andrea and Sixto Montanez of Puerto Rico; paternal grandmother Modesta Gonzalez of York; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Angel Rafael Vega. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster with Pastor Jose Rivera officiating. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
