With the saddest of hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved, Noy Buthdy. He peacefully departed this world on June 29, 2024, surrounded by his family. Noy brought so much joy, and love to all the lives he touched.

Noy was born in Battambang, Cambodia to Luy and Doum Buthdy and was one of seven children, with brothers Thung, Som, Kham, Aln, Teik, and sister Pheng.

Noy married his beloved wife, Sokhon in 1975. Together, they escaped the Khmer Rouge genocide and found refuge in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with the sponsorship of St. John's Lutheran Church. Noy dedicated 35 years of his life to working at Tyson Foods, from which he later retired.

A simple man at heart, Noy cherished spending quality time with his family and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his three children, Bon, the late Saensak, and Samantha, as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

His family will hold a Buddhist traditional ceremony Saturday July 6 from 9am to 12pm. It will be held at 3170 Thornapple Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
