Obituary

Norma J. Asato, 74, died at her East Hempfield Township home on Monday, March 12, 2012. Her husband of 37 years the late Stanley J. Asato died in 2010. Born in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Henrietta Johanna Doering Wildgrube.

A homemaker, Norma was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and had been a Brownie Leader and served as Girl Scout Head Chairwoman of half of Orange County, CA.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda, wife of Daniel Bean of Lake Elsinore, CA, Michelle Winder of Westminster, CA, and Suzanne, wife of Cary Robinson of Wayne, PA; seven grandchildren and her brother Ronald Wildgrube of St. Louis, MO

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 AM Thursday, March 15, 2012, in the Chapel of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA, with The Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. Private Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A gathering after the cemetery services will be held at 1847 Buchers Mill, Lancaster, PA at approximately 3:30 PM.
