Norberto Silva. Ortiz, 62, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Born in San Germán Puerto Rico, he was the son Domingo Ortiz and the late Ana Celia Silva Ayala. Norberto was the loving husband of Gladys Rosario-Ortiz.

A machinist by trade he worked for Arconic and Turkey Hill.

He was of the Christian Faith.

He loved watching TV, going for walks to the corner store, spending time with family including his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild. He is survived by his siblings: Angel Santana (Ana), Maria Gonzalez, Alberto Ortiz (Lynn Burgos), and Roberto Ortiz (Tirzha), all of Lancaster, Jesus Santana (Marielena Quinones) of Harrisonburg, VA, and Marilyn "Lilly" Martinez (Roberto) of Landisville. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jose Ramirez and Gabriel Santana.

In addition to his wife, Norberto is survived by his daughter, Beverly Ortiz Lozada (Anthony), his niece, Jessica Rosario (David) who is like a daughter, 6 grandchildren: Adasha, J.J, and Joselyn, and Christalis Velez, and David "Juju" and Amaya Maldonado Rosario; and one great-granddaughter, Athena Velez.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, December 7, 2022 from 6PM to 9PM, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 11AM with a viewing from 9AM to 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
