IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nitza R.
Rocha
October 10, 2024
Nitza Rocha, age 70, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in the town of Cañóvanas, Puerto Rico, Nitza was the beloved daughter of the late Arcadio R. and Dominga Quiñones Rosario. She shared a lifetime of love with her husband, Humberto C. Rocha, Sr., with whom she built a beautiful family and a legacy of warmth, compassion, and joy.
Nitza was a cherished member of Greater Emanuel Temple, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She had a remarkable singing voice that uplifted those around her, often bringing comfort and joy through music. Her love for music was just one of many passions, as Nitza also enjoyed the finer things in life—she particularly loved driving her Mercedes Benz, which she took great pride in.
Nitza had a zest for life and found joy in many pursuits, especially shopping for herself and others. Her favorite holiday and time of the year was Christmas. Her friends and family remember her as a person of immense kindness, with a heart big enough to embrace everyone she met. Nitza had a unique ability to make others feel valued and loved, and she often went out of her way to help those in need. Her legacy is one of love, warmth, and generosity. Nitza will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be a beacon of love and kindness.
In addition to her husband, Nitza is survived by her children: Denise Peters (wife of Cyle) of Lancaster, Humberto C. Rocha, Jr. (husband of Megan) of Landenburg; and Nina Angelica Rocha of Philadelphia; her grandchildren: Dajon Rocha, Darius Rocha, James Rocha, Tyree Rocha, Humberto C. Rocha, III, Salena Rocha, Mario Rocha and Bella Rocha and three great grandchildren: Sophie Rocha, Armanni Rocha and Annelise Rocha. Nitza also leaves behind her 10 siblings that she shared a close special bond with.
In addition to her parents, Nitza is preceded in death by her son Michael Rocha.
