Obituary

Nino C. Belfiore, 93, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Mennonite Home. He was the husband of the late Kathleen Hall Belfiore & brother of Gerardo and Patrick Belfiore.

Born in Agropoli, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Napoli Belfiore. A self-employed commercial artist, his extensive career left its mark on many National historical monuments and in works for the US Park Service. He designed the Ford's Theatre Museum in Washington, DC and was instrumental in the design of the Cyclorama at Gettysburg National Battlefield. A World War II veteran of the European Theatre, Nino served as Sergeant during the Battle of The Bulge and other campaigns. His artistic talents were employed by the Army for the design of military posters and related communications, he later served in high intelligence being fluent in several languages. He is survived by his children: Mark married to Michelle, Falls Church, VA; Gregory, Manheim,PA; Glenn married to Nicole, Ephrata, PA; Michael, New Jersey; Thierry & Lorette Giangrasso, Paris, France and Nina Jankowski, Germany; and by his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He loved Jesus.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 10-11am at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Interment in Hall Cemetery in Modoc, Georgia.
