Nikolay T. Saakyan, 89, of Philadelphia, formerly Quarryville, died on September 15, 2021 at Nazareth Hospital.

Born in Armenia, he was the son of the late Tatevos Saakyan and Shushan Saakyan. He is survived by his wife, Goar (Bagiryan) Saakyan.

Nikolay was an Engineer for the Soviet Union.

He enjoyed writing, reading, and gardening.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter Karina Sayadov, wife of Erik, of Quarryville, and a grandson Eric Sayadov, of Marietta, as well as six other grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike Lititz, PA at 11AM. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 5-7PM and again on Tuesday from 10am-11am. Interment will be in Silver Spring Cemetery.
