Neil R. Hartnett, 55, of Lancaster formerly of Scranton, PA .passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 after a brief battle with cancer. Neil was the son of the late Edward P. and Nancy Kelly Hartnett.

Neil is survived by his wife, Erin K. Hartnett and his daughter Ryan E. Hartnett. Neil and Erin just observed their 27 ^th wedding anniversary in May. Neil is also survived by a large extended family and wonderful friends.

Neil was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University Hotel and Restaurant School. Neil was most recently a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Best Western Hotels. He also worked many years for Holiday Inn Inc.

Neil enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Penn State fan, loved to golf and travel with his family.

Neil was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, Pa on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 11:00AM. There will be a viewing at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, from 6 to 8:00PM. Please omit flowers.
