Nancy F. Wheatley, 86, formerly of Shavertown and a resident of Lititz, PA, passed away on October 27, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilkes-Barrie to the late Frank and Mae Dugan, was the beloved wife to the late Roy E. Wheatley, and loving mother to the late Jonelle Wheatley Racusin. Nancy is a Kingston High School graduate, and attended Jack Stanley School of Dance in New York City after graduation. Nancy became a well-respected dance instructor teaching up to 500 students per week at the Hilda Mann-Hertz School, and later opened the Nancy-Sharon Talent School in Wilkes-Barre. Nancy choreographed shows for local tv stations for over 10 years and she directed the choreography for many Musicals at Lake-Lehman High School. Nancy worked for Wegman's Bakery for 16 years prior to her retirement. Nancy cherished her granddaughter for so many reasons; especially for the love and care she provided to her. Surviving is a granddaughter, Ashley Moriarty, wife of Sean; great-grandchildren: Mia, Charlotte and Conor; sister, Ellie Sugalski; niece, Mary Murtha; nephew, Bill Sugalski; and special friend, Kathie Rittenhouse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 7, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Therese's Church, 64 Davis Street, Shavertown, PA 18708, and interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
