Nancy Jean Shiffert, 82, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at Myerstown Nursing & Rehab. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Edith Mae (Albright) Shiffert.

Handed a challenging diagnosis at her birth, Nancy's parents provided her opportunities to grow and reach her full potential, insisting she be allowed to complete high school and encouraging her to continue learning throughout her life.

Nancy was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and later trained first as a nurse's aide and later as a child care provider. She worked in the childcare industry for many years.

Nancy joined Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority in 1964 and was an active member of local chapter Alpha Xi Master. She was also a 65-year member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Many thanks to her sorority sisters and church friends who visited and sent well wishes over the past several months.

Nancy loved to travel and craft. Each friend and family member has ceramic memories to remind us of her.

Nancy is survived by her siblings, JoAnn Hentz, Lancaster and Alan Shiffert, Lansdowne, and niece Allison Noecker (Joel).

Services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests beginning at 12:30 PM.
