Nancy Horton, 75, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Born in Lansdale, PA she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Spare) Reifsnyder. She was married to the late Dr. Earl Horton who passed away in 2001. Nancy graduated from North Penn High School in Lansdale, PA and received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Shippensburg University. She had 26 years of service in education with the last 12 years of work serving preschoolers in Early Intervention for Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit #13. She was a member of Church of The Apostles in Lancaster, where she was active in helping to fundraise for and lead their Relay for Life team. She volunteered many hours for Hospice of Lancaster County greeting and guiding those that were visiting loved ones and also cared for others by providing meals through her cooking and baking. She is survived by a daughter, Pam Yagel, wife of John, of Elkridge, MD and two sons, Chris Horton, husband of Mary Jane, of Tower City, PA, Tim Horton, husband of Suzanne, of Lancaster and 6 grandchildren. Services and Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
