Nancy A. Herbein, 68, of Arlington, TX with family ties in Lancaster, died Monday, May 7, 2012 in State College, PA.  Born in New Castle, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late William A. and June (Wilson) Jacobs.  She was married to Roger F. Herbein for 40 years on January 15th.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, Nancy was registered nurse at Huguley Hospital in Burleson, TX. She was an operating room nurse specializing in cardiac surgery her entire career.

She was a member of St. Barnabas United Methodist Church in Arlington, TX, and a member of the church choir.

Nancy enjoyed reading, socializing with her PEO sisters, boating and traveling, creating many special memories with her husband and children. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her children, Shelley L., wife of Sean Curling, of State College, Kevin C. Herbein, of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren, Miles and Piper Curling, and sister, Dianne, wife of David Swavely, of Woodbridge, VA.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA 17551. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 PM.  Interment will take place in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.  Contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, attn: Development Office, 525 N.
