Nancy DeFreitas, 52, passed peacefully Thursday morning, October 3, 2013, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie DeFreitas.

Nancy's humor and fierce loyalty to her family, friends, and caretakers left lasting impressions on those who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Excentia and particularly loved playing with her great-nephews and great-nieces.

Nancy is survived by a brother, Russell DeFreitas, husband of Patricia, of Easton, PA and two sisters, Sangeet Kaur, wife of Sangeet Singh Khalsa, of Herndon, VA, and Janice, wife of Luis Torres, of Lancaster, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James DeFreitas.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, October 7, 2013 at St. John Neumann Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
