Myrtle A. Gilbert, 92 of 544 N. Penryn Road, Manheim, PA, died Thursday morning, June 8, 2006, at Pleasant View Retirement Community.

Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna Ulrich Christ. Myrtle was the wife of the late John P. Gilbert Sr.  Mrs. Gilbert was a punch press operator with  J. L.Clark, now Clorcor, retiring in 1976.

Surviving is a daughter, C. JoAnn Rupp Lititz; a son, John P. Gilbert Jr. Lititz; two grandchildren: LuAnn Rupp-Gallagher and John P. Gilbert III; 4 great grandchildren; and one sister, Maybelle Groff of East Petersburg. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robin S. Rupp; four sisters; and one brother.

A graveside service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, PA, on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m .  Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Myrtle's memory to Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, PA 17 5 43.
