Muriel Lee Shetromph, 77, wife of the late, Jack R. Shetromph, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Landis Valley Retirement Community.  She was born October 16, 1934, Lancaster, PA to the late Florence and William Lockwood.

She graduated in 1952 from Roxbury High School, Succasunna, NJ.  She graduated as an RN from St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Lancaster, PA, 1955 and Millersville University with a Bachelor's Degree in School Nursing; worked at St. Joseph's Hospital Emergency Room before having children.  From there, worked at Ephrata Senior High School as a school nurse for 20 years before retiring.

She belonged to the Lancaster County School Nurse's Association when she was working; Friends of the Lancaster County Library; Fulton Opera House Guild; Library System Book Review Group; Iris Club; and the Red Hatter's Women's Group.  She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Lancaster.  She loved to read and travel; and enjoyed boating with her husband.

She is survived by a son: John R. Shetromph, husband of Jenny Frey Shetromph; a daughter: Carol Ann Smith, wife of Dwight Smith; 2 granddaughters: Natalie and Emily Shetromph; 2 brothers: C. Russell Lockwood of Arlington Heights, IL, husband of Eloise Fehr Lockwood and Richard C. Lockwood of Richmond, VA, husband of Beverly Spence Lockwood.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Rev.
