Miriam R. Stauffer, of Lancaster, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, November 20, 2025. She was 94. Born in Manor Twp, she was the daughter of Clyde and Florence (Rohrer) Eshelman. Over 71 years she built a beautiful family of love and cherished memories with her devoted husband Jay H. Stauffer, until his passing in 2023.

Her love of agriculture and the outdoors was something she inherited from her father at a young age. Tending to the farm and caring for others were things that Miriam carried throughout her life and career. Many will remember Miriam as a devoted reading specialist for the Lancaster City School District for over 27 years.

Her love will live on in her sons, Jay D. Stauffer (Trena) of Columbia and James D. Stauffer (Jalana) of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband Jay; her parents; a granddaughter, Juleasa D. Stauffer, a great granddaughter, Cora K. Stauffer, and siblings, Guy R. Eshelman and Velda M. Keener.

A Funeral Service honoring Miriam will be held on her 95th birthday, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584, beginning at 12 PM. The family will receive guests from 11 AM – 12 PM. A private interment will take place at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International .
