Miriam Rodriguez, 64, of Lancaster, passed away at UPMC, Lancaster General Hospital on Monday, October 3, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Mom-Dukes was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Isidro Mercado Rivera and Carmen Minerva Gracia.

A homemaker, she was the loving mother of Carmen V. Villanueva, wife of Hector A. Villanueva of Lancaster, Eve Rodriguez of Lancaster, Oscar Rodriguez, Jr. of Columbia, SC, and Manny Rodriguez, husband of Keishla of Lancaster; and grandmother of 15 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings, Maribel Mercado of Lancaster, Isidro Mercado of Lancaster, David Mercado of New York, and Magaly Soto-Sirvent, wife of Steve Sirvent of the Poconos.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, George Mercado, and Marie E. Mercado.

She was a faithful member of Breakout Ministries. An extremely outgoing, giving, and happy person, Miriam loved life. She was often the life of the party, and she enjoyed crafts, dancing and listening to music.

A viewing will take place from 10 to 11 AM, followed by the funeral at 11 AM with Pastor Mary Buch and Pastor Ron Buch officiating, on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Breakout Ministries, 2400 Anita Court, Leola, PA 17540. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
