Mildred C. Parker, 93, of Leola, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at her residence.  Born in Lancaster, Mildred was the daughter of the late Henry W. Dorwart and Margaret E. (Resh) Von Stetten.  She was married to the late Richard W. Parker, who died in 1972.

Mildred was a 1938 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.

A title clerk at the former Larry Murphy Chevrolet for 20 years, Mildred was also employed by Armstrong, RCA, and Sears & Roebuck.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and a current member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Mildred enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, reading, playing pinochle, and doing crossword puzzles.  She loved spending time with her family, her greatest accomplishment.

Mildred is survived by her children, Ann L. (John J.) Cook of Oklahoma City, OK; R. Michael (Margaret) Parker of Chester, VA; Julia A. (William E.) Bowers of Lancaster, PA; Dennis C. (Rebecca) Parker of Clarksville, TX; Donna M. (Stephen M.) Wilfong of Matthews, NC; Robert S. (Melody) Parker of Charlotte, NC; Teresa E. (John V.) Yost of Leola, PA; Thomas K. (Sandra) Parker of Statesville, NC, 29 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Henry W. Dorwart of Lancaster, David E. (Patricia) Dorwart of York, Mary Ann Carroll of Philadelphia, and Margaret R. Gates of Arkadelphia, AR. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth "Bette" Brown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St, New Holland, PA 17557 with Rev. Pang J.S. Tsheou as Celebrant.  The family will receive guests from 10 until 11 at the church.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mildred's memory may be made to Lancaster Catholic High School Tuition Assistance Fund, 650 Juliette Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
