Michael J. Tucker, 66 of Lancaster, PA passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Morristown, NJ he was the son of the late Walter and Ann (Foley) Tucker. He was the loving husband of Ellen (Gibbons) Tucker with whom he just celebrated 35 years of marriage this past June. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's in Finance from Rutgers University. Michael was employed as a finance manager with M&M/Mars until his retirement. Michael was an avid golfer and a member of Conestoga Country Club. The annual trips he took to Myrtle Beach with his golfing buddies were the highlight of each October. He was a sports enthusiast who never lost faith in the Mets. He was involved in the St. Leo Athletic Association where he was the treasurer for many years. In addition, he coached his son in CYO basketball and his daughter in intramural soccer. Above all, Michael loved spending time with his family, whether it was summer trips to Cape Cod, family vacations to Disney World, or sitting around the kitchen table playing games. He was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Melissa M. Tucker and Kristen M. Tucker of New York, NY, and son, Kevin J. Tucker of Rockville, MD. Also surviving are three sisters, Patricia Hoffman (wife of Kreg) of Florence, NJ, Mary Jo Galante (wife of Steve) of Staten Island, NY, and Karen Kohl (wife of George) of Morristown, NJ as well as loving nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601 with Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. A viewing will be held from 6-8PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 8PM. Interment will be at St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory may be made to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Capital Campaign at the above address.
