Michael J. Staffieri, Sr., 64, of Kinzers, died Wednesday evening, June 21, 2006 at the Lancaster General Hospital.

He was the husband of Karen A. Dorwart Staffieri, with whom he celebrated their 33 ^rd wedding anniversary this past February 16 ^th . Born in Lancaster, Michael was the son of the late Louis J. Sr. and Esther R. McCauley Staffieri.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Michael was an avid Notre Dame football fan, and loved playing with his grandchildren. In years past, he enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and spending time at Rehoboth Beach.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael J., Jr.  married to Linda Staffieri of Kinzers, his two grandchildren, Abigail and Aidan, and by a brother, Joseph P. married to Louise Staffieri of Manheim. He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Staffieri, Jr.

Friends will be received on Monday from 9-10:20AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster. Mass will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Denver, PA.
