Michael R. McCord, 71, of Lititz PA, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 23, 2023 at Lancaster General Hospital. Michael was born in Bradford, PA and spent most of his younger life in Eden, NY. He was the son of the late Freida M. (Obleski) and Richard M. McCord. He was the beloved husband to Marilyn (Wisler) with whom he celebrated 41years of marriage.

Michael received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from San Francisco State University and Masters of Science degree in Nursing Informatics from University of Maryland. Prior to retirement he worked as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in California and Maryland, Informatics Nurse in Maryland, and Clinical Specialist with Philips Healthcare. He was a humbly proud veteran who retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a Captain after serving honorably in Desert Storm as a Flight Nurse and in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Warfare Specialist. Michael loved photography, fishing, traveling, being a father and grandfather, and had an endearing dry sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Carrie Moreno (Ivan), Chardonnay Petersen (Jeffery) and Nathan McCord (Rebecca), six grandchildren Isabella Moreno, Dario Moreno, Giancarlo Moreno, Abigail Petersen, Anna Petersen, Elias Petersen, and his sister Cindy Roza (David).

Interment will be private.
