Michael R. Dempsey, 48, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at his East Hempfield Twp. home. Born at Travis Air Force Base in California, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Mary Carol Wolcott Dempsey.

He graduated from Dover High School, Dover, DE. Mike became a Certified Nurse Assistant and worked at Brethren Village and Pleasant View Retirement Community.

Mike is survived by his sisters Ann, wife of John Marinangeli of Landenberg, PA, and Mary, wife of Phil Higgins of Bear, DE, and a niece, several nephews, a grandnephew and a grandniece. In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by his brother Robert F. Dempsey, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday May 25, 2013, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Mike's family and friends are welcome to gather between 12:30 to 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Private  Interment.
