Melvin James Ressler, 86, entered into rest at the United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. He was born December 23, 1928 in Ephrata Township to the late Grube & Anna Martin (Zimmerman) Ressler. Melvin shared 64 years of married life with his devoted wife, Lettie (Hostetter) Ressler. Melvin served faithfully in the Oregon Community United Methodist Church as a faithful trustee. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Ordnance Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of AmVets, the NRA and the American Legion Post# 429. Melvin enjoyed deer hunting and collecting toy tractors & cars. Surviving in addition to his wife, Lettie, are 2 brothers: Elvin Ressler, husband of Jeanne, and Harold Ressler, husband of Helen; and many nieces & nephews. Melvin was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Elmer, John, Martin, Clarence and Anna Mae Ressler. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with viewing from 10-11 AM. Interment in Oregon Community Cemetery following the service.
