Melvin J. Graver, 90, went home to be with Jesus on June 22nd, 2025, at Brethren Village, Lititz, PA. He was the husband of the late Arlene H. Graver and they celebrated 68 years of marriage together in March of 2023. Born in Lancaster, PA, Melvin was the son of the late Harry S. and Edna Dagen Graver.

Melvin started out in farming but worked in the carpentry trade most of his life. Before retiring, he drove dump truck for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveled extensively with his wife. He was also an active member of Neffsville Mennonite Church for over 50 years.

Melvin is survived by two sons, Jan L. Graver, husband of Janet of Manheim, Merle E. Graver, husband of Lucy of Willow Street, and daughter Linda A. Book, wife of Donald II of Felton; six grandchildren, Eric, Jeffrey, and Kevin Graver, Eugenea Graver, Austin Book, and Andrea Decker; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene H. Graver, and son, Harry M. Graver, and six siblings; Barbara A. Rohrer, Harry Graver, Jr., Verna Souders, Velma Summers, Mary Murry, and Viola Hostetter.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Family and friends will be received from 10-11 AM until the time of the service at 11. Interment will be held at Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery, 1514 Village Road, Strasburg, PA 17579, at 2 PM.
