Melodie A. "Mel" Stewart, 50, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of Lena (Stewart) Price and the late Georgee Price. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Hollis E. Caleb, Sr.

Mel was a loving, caring person with a big heart and an outgoing spirit. She enjoyed spending time and facetiming with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved listening to music and singing karaoke. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her mother, Mel is survived by five children: Derek Stewart, Tamara Jenkins, Terriesha McCain, Heather McCain and Iziah Washington. Also surviving are four sisters, Dawn Winder, Kiesha Copper, Althea Stewart and Kimberly Price; a brother, Dwight Stewart; and 9 grandchildren. Mel also has many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who she viewed as family.

Funeral services will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602, where a viewing will taking place from 2:00-3:00 PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
