Mavis J. (Austin) Roy, 78, of New Holland, died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in South Paris, ME, she was the wife of the late Albert F. Roy, Jr, who died March 18, 1997. She was the daughter of the late Leander Carl and Ruth (White) Austin. She loved knitting and bingo, but most of all, her family. 2 sons survive Mavis: Daniel A. Roy, and his wife Virginia. Ernest C. Roy, and his wife Robin; all of Lancaster. 3 daughters: Carol Wetzel of New Holland, and Susan M. Wile, and Vicki L. Kauffman and her husband Bernard; all of Lancaster. 11 grandchildren: 5 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and her loving dog, Faith. A son, Rodney L. Roy and her daughter Donna L. Roy, preceded her in death. A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike Lancaster, with Pastor Tim Craven officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
