IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Matthew Lee
Coffroth Jr.
August 14, 2024
We are heartbroken to announce that God has called home our angel, Matthew Lee Coffroth Jr. He was the cherished son of Matthew and Caroline Coffroth, and the proud big brother of Blake and Lylah.
Matthew was set to begin fifth grade this year. His teacher and classmates remember him as the kid everyone wanted to be around. He was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and infectious smile. Matthew has always been an enthusiastic reader with a curious nature. He loved nonfiction and the Guinness Book of World Records. Matthew was really passionate about Pokeman, playing and trading cards with his friends as well as his growing coin collection. He played baseball, loved chess, and was an evolving musician like his dad, playing the viola.
More than anything else, Matthew loved his family, his church, and had an insatiable sense of adventure. From trips to the beach to getaways with his brother and dad, to his service of others evidenced by work in the church and backpack projects. Matthew found joy in everyday of his life, and it's a joy he shared with the world. Truly, Matthew has touched the lives of every person who has ever been blessed to know him.
Matthew is survived by his parents Matthew Sr and Caroline Coffroth, brother Blake and sister Lylah; in addition to grandparents Brian & Diane Coffroth of Paradise, Joseph & Suzanne Smith of Manheim, as well as many loving aunts and uncles, Joseph Smith Jr, Ritchie and Lisa Smith, Nate Smith, Everett (EJ) Huf, Jeremy Smith, Corrie and Jean David Llareus, Brian and Anita Coffroth, Billy Price, Lisa Price, and cousins Caden and Mariana Coffroth, Raylen, Lincoln, Morgan, Kellan, and Nick Smith, and Jean-Luc Llareus.
A celebration of Matts life is planned for Saturday, August 24th at Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to wear Matthews favorite colors: red and black. The celebration will begin for visitation with the family from 8:30AM-10:30AM. A formal service will be held at 1030AM.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Matthew's beloved church CV Church of Christ, 2045 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster, PA.
