MaryEllen Swavely, 85, of Narvon, PA, who was a faithful servant of our Lord, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017. Born in Earl Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herman B. Hafer and Alice Y. Conard. She was the loving wife of the late Leonard E. Swavely whom she was married to for 49 years. MaryEllen enjoyed reading and bird watching in her free time. She will be remembered as a gentle, caring person who loved family visits and teaching Sunday School for many years. MaryEllen is survived by her daughter in law, Felicia Swavely; 4 grandchildren: Brock N., Nicole, Joshua B., Jason Swavely and Stacy, wife of Brock N.; 5 great grandchildren: Ryan, Brock J., Gibson, Chloe and Addison. She was preceded in death by her 2 sons: Rick C. and Jay D., and also 4 siblings. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Berks Memorial Garden, 201 Evansville Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522, with the Deacon Bruce Swist officiating.
