Mary Lou Torp-Smith, 96, a resident of Willow Street PA passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was born August 30, 1927, in Kansas City Kansas, to Thomas Clinton Brumley and Mary Dorris Lester.

Mary Lou grew up in Chicago, where she graduated high school, and worked for US Steel. She married Arne Torp-Smith in 1955. Their son Tommy was born in 1956 and was the joy of their lives. Tommy had cerebral palsy, and Mary Lou devoted most of her life in caring for him, until he passed in 1991.

Mary Lou lived many places including Germany and England, due to Arne's job. Upon Arne's retirement, the family moved to Hilton Head, SC. Mary Lou moved to Willow Valley Community in Willow Street PA after Arne's death in 1993.

Mary Lou is survived by her sister Vivian Saxe (99) and many nieces and nephews.
