Mary Jane Toomey passed away on July 8, 2017. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Anna (Deverter) Hickey. She was the loving wife of John Michael Toomey, Jr. Mary Jane enjoyed playing games and visiting the beach. She loved taking care of those she loved. But most of all, Mary Jane loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her generosity and feisty personality. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children: John M. Toomey, III (Danielle) of Lancaster; Ron Toomey (Stacey) of Wrightsville; and Theresa Morgan (Archer) of Leola; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11AM with Pastor Dana Statler officiating. Friends will be received 1-hour prior. Interment will follow at Riverview Burial Park following the service.
