Mary Thomas, 98, of Charlottesville, VA., formerly of Lancaster, PA. went home to be with her Lord Thursday, March 3, 2011. She was the wife of the late Paul Green Thomas who passed away December 18, 1980. She was born October 6, 1912 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. to the late John and Pauline Hawrylich. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by three children: Paul and his wife Lona Thomas of Lampeter, PA; Kenneth and his wife Eileen Thomas of Painesville, Ohio; Jean Thomas of Troy, VA. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, and sixteen great great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her very much.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Michael, Joseph, Andrew, John, Stephen and one sister, Anna. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons: Lance Wimer, and Robert Thomas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Prince and Vine Streets, Lancaster on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00AM with Rev Leo Goodman as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. There will be a viewing at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA on Monday evening, March 7, 2011 from 7-9:00PM and a viewing at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday morning from 9-10:00AM.
