Mary Elizabeth Sterling, 90, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Conestoga View Nursing Home. Born in Lovingston, VA, she was a daughter of the late Henry I. and Bertha E. (Hudson) Bryant, and the loving wife of the late Charles A. Sterling, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2012. Mary devoted her time to caring for her family and home. She enjoyed crafting, and had a special passion for designing jewelry. She and her late husband traveled extensively from coast to coast. She was also an avid reader. She most loved spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her children, Alesia Fenninger and her fiancée Anthony Hicks of Lancaster, Debra DeBarr and her husband Robert of Washington Boro, and John Wayne Sterling of Corydon, IN. Also surviving are several step-children, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Angelo Wikel, and a daughter, Theresa Grogg. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, 17543, where the family will receive guests from 10-11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joe New Cemetery, Bausman.
