Obituary

Mary L. Myers, 88, of Oak Leaf Manor, Landisville and formerly of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. She was born in Lancaster to the late William C. and Minnie M. (Long) Myers.

Mary was former owner of the family business, Earl P. Kegel, Inc., now known as Kegel's Produce, Inc. which her daughter-in-law, Suzanne (Vlassis) Myers and grandson, Kenneth G. Myers own and operate. Mary retired in 1991 after 45 years in the produce business.

She enjoyed her membership at the Elks Club of Lancaster Lodge #134, Riverside Club, AMVETS, and Guys and Dolls. She enjoyed visiting her customers on her weekly trips to Central Market. Her frequent visits made by her three great grandsons kept her up to date on their daily activities, school and sports. Having a love for fruits and vegetables, she named three of her cats, Peaches, Tangerine, and Grapefruit.

Surviving; daughter-in-law, Suzanne V. Myers, of Lancaster, grandson, Kenneth G. Myers, husband of Annette, of Lancaster, three great grandsons, K.J., Kerek, and Koby, a sister, Marian M. Myers, a niece, June Sneath, both of Lancaster, and several nieces a nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth C. Myers (January 1992), seven sisters, Martha E. Shuffelbottom, Lucille B. Myers, Sarah C. McFalls, Hilda M. Fitzkee, Gladys E. Myers, Thelma J. Sneath, Doris J. Scheid, and four brothers, Fred L., William K., Donald R., and Richard T. Myers.

The Myers Family would like to thank Oak Leaf Manor Landisville, PA for their outstanding service and care provided to Mary. They would also like to acknowledge John "Bo" Smith and Mary's niece, June Sneath for their love and support throughout the years.

A Funeral Service will be Celebrated on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11AM in the Chapel at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr., Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with The Rev. Alexander Goussetis officiating. A viewing will be from 9:30-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2:30PM at Conestoga Memorial Park with The Rev. Hector Firoglanis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo The Great Catholic School 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
