Mary Patricia McLean Hetzel died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at age 87. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Hetzel of 50 years; daughter, Elise Maberry; parents, Donald W. and Dorene McLean Sr.; and brother, Donald W. McLean, Jr. She leaves three daughters: Diane Boyd, wife of Bob; Linda Hetzel Branstetter, and Teresa Hetzel Holm, wife of Don; three siblings: Michael McLean, husband of Charlotte; Kathleen Kelehan, wife of Tom; and Alice Rezabek, wife of Richard. She also leaves six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a mother, wife, artist and avid genealogist. She lived all over the world due to her husband's work. While living in Tabor, IA, she was a working force in the restoration of Tabor House which was used during the Underground Railroad. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, June 14, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church Edwardsville, IL. Burial services will take place at 4PM, Sunday, June 16, 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Special Olympics or your local food pantry.
